A leading regional cement manufacturer was facing numerous image and reputation problems on a multitude of fronts, most notably on the health and environmental impact levels.

S2C developed a communication as well as a CSR strategy that were set to achieve the following:

  • Shed light on the company’s environmental efforts and improve the its reputation
  • Improve relations between the company and its community, elevating them to new levels of dialogue and cooperation
  • Undertake a complete overhaul of the internal corporate culture and the communication practices
  • Address ongoing crises and develop a crisis communication framework

 

Outcome

The company was able to reshuffle its relations with all its stakeholders, starting from the community in which it operated up to its most vocal critics on a national level. As such, it was able to carry out its business in a much more harmonious way while becoming perceived as a valuable corporate citizen.
